Important information about SWIIX AG’s status, the nature of its intended services, and the risks and limits that apply.

Status

SWIIX AG is a Swiss stock corporation (Aktiengesellschaft) whose intended activity is financial intermediation in the parabanking sector within the meaning of the Swiss Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA). SWIIX AG has applied for affiliation to a self-regulatory organisation (SRO) under the AMLA. Services will commence only upon affiliation. SWIIX AG is not a bank, is not supervised by FINMA, and holds no banking, securities-dealer or fintech licence. It does not accept deposits, does not pay interest, and does not provide investment advice, asset management or lending.

Nature of the services
  • Services are intended to be provided on an execution-only basis: transactions are carried out solely on a client’s instruction, without advice, discretion or recommendation.
  • Where SWIIX acts as counterparty, it does so on a matched-principal basis to effect the client’s instruction, and does not warehouse or take proprietary positions.
  • Crypto-assets are volatile and may lose value rapidly. SWIIX would handle them only as a settlement or payment instrument to carry out an instruction, not as an investment, and provides no custody for investment, yield or speculative purposes.
No deposit protection

Amounts handled by SWIIX to execute and settle an instruction are not deposits, are not accepted for investment, and are not covered by any deposit-protection scheme or depositor guarantee. Clients are responsible for their own legal, tax, accounting and regulatory assessment of any transaction and should take independent advice where needed. Nothing on this website constitutes investment, legal or tax advice.

Services are not available in, and are not directed to, jurisdictions where they would be prohibited. It is the reader’s responsibility to observe any applicable local restrictions.
